I paid a visit to the new Made From Scotland pop up shop on Edinburgh's Rose Street which opened last week and was totally overwhelmed to see the work of so many talented Scottish designers and artists under one roof.
Born from the idea that Scotland has far more to offer than the sweeping stereotypes suggest, Made From Scotland offers a platform for independent and free-thinking Scottish designers, producers and artists looking to showcase their innovative work to a wider audience, and has taken a leap from the web to the high street.
With quirky tote bags and unique art pieces covering the walls of the pop up shop, beautifully designed homewares stacked across tables, plump cushions piled up in wooden hampers, and intricate silver jewellery shimmering in glass cabinets, there's a definite sense that Made From Scotland have achieved something special by bringing all this talent together in one space, and it's both exciting and inspiring to see all the fantastic creations in the flesh.
If you want to take a peak yourself, the pop up shop will be open at 115-117 Rose Street until October and you can visit the Made From Scotland website here.
