This is my favourite outfit combination at the moment; a cosy jumper over a printed dress is my way of getting over the end of summer. The photos dont do the jumpers vibrancy justice as it's way brighter than it looks and so it looks awesome paired with monochrome pieces. As you all probably know, i'm a slave to black and white, so going straight to lime green from that was a pretty big jump. I have to admit, it did scare me a little bit and i was on the brink of changing more than once, but it's important to challenge yourself even in the simplest of ways! You'll be surprised to hear that I also picked up a bright blue jacket during the week as well... what is happening to me??

LIFE: MADE FROM SCOTLAND, EDINBURGH POP UP SHOP

I paid a visit to the new Made From Scotland pop up shop on Edinburgh's Rose Street which opened last week and was totally overwhelmed to see the work of so many talented Scottish designers and artists under one roof.

Born from the idea that Scotland has far more to offer than the sweeping stereotypes suggest, Made From Scotland offers a platform for independent and free-thinking Scottish designers, producers and artists looking to showcase their innovative work to a wider audience, and has taken a leap from the web to the high street.

With quirky tote bags and unique art pieces covering the walls of the pop up shop, beautifully designed homewares stacked across tables, plump cushions piled up in wooden hampers, and intricate silver jewellery shimmering in glass cabinets, there's a definite sense that Made From Scotland have achieved something special by bringing all this talent together in one space, and it's both exciting and inspiring to see all the fantastic creations in the flesh.

STYLE: DOGTOOTH AND TRENCHCOATS

DRESS - VINTAGE, COAT - PRIMARK, SOCKS - TOPSHOP, SANDALS - CHICWISH

I found this dress in the shop last weekend for just 3 blimmin' pounds! I love the cutesy dogtooth pattern, and i can never resist a wee monochrome number to add to my already-full-of-monochrome wardrobe.

This trench was also a bargain at just £18 which i picked up from Primark at the weekend. Is it just me or are Primark just getting better and better? They've definitely got outerwear down to a tee with some seriously fab coats and jackets out at the moment, and they've also got this trench in both camel and white. And with such a versatile piece, it would be rude not to... ;)

I love a simple outfit some days and you just can't go wrong with denim shorts. Especially when they're the comfiest darn shorts in the world! Mom shorts are a complete revelation to me, i didn't even know they existed until i discovered them a couple of days ago in New Look. So glad i found them though as im completely in love with them and doubt i'll ever take them off. Ever.

Hope you're all having a fantastic weekend.
